Publisher Andrew Ippolito has an MLS degree from Pratt Graduate School of Information and Library Science and a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service. His career spans over 45 years of library experience which includes positions as director in three major Public Libraries and as Director of Libraries and Research for Newsday, the successful Long Island daily newspaper. An innovator in information storage and retrieval technology his system changed Newsday's library and every other major newspaper library in the United States. He has served as president of national and local library organizations and is active in local affairs and civic groups. He was appointed by New York State Governors to serve on two White House Commisions for Libraries. He is the recipient of many awards and was recently honored by the Nassau County Library Association when they named a library school scholarship after him.
